Fitness to Practise
Fitness to Practise regulations ensure that students meet professional standards of conduct for awards that lead to a professionally recognised qualification, for example Initial Teacher Training, Social Work and Midwifery.
When students register for a course of study subject to Fitness to Practise regulations, they will have to sign and abide by a course specific Code of Professional Conduct.
Fitness to Practise - Policy and Procedure [PDF] is not intended to replace the Â鶹´«Ã½AV’s disciplinary and academic offences procedures.
Where a student allegedly commits an act that is actionable under the Â鶹´«Ã½AV’s disciplinary procedure or academic offences regulations then these procedures must be completed prior to instigating action that would be applicable under the Fitness to Practise procedure.
