LGBTQ+ Network hosts public event celebrating networks & importance of allies

Join the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV’s LGBTQ+ Network for a free event open to the public, exploring the importance of and strategies for diversity networks and allyship.
On Monday 21 October from 4pm in the Postgraduate Centre on the Luton campus, the LGBTQ+ Network will be hosting the event which invites attendees to connect with like-minded individuals and hear from inspiring speakers from across a number of universities and organisations.

The event will feature guest speakers from organisations including Stonewall, Anglia Ruskin Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV, and Brunel Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV, plus feedback on the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV’s 2024 Workplace Equality submission.
Speakers and guests will discuss best practice within staff diversity networks and the best ways to build allies within institutions.
Speaking about this event, David Williams, Chair Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Staff LGBTQ+ Network, said: “Staff networks and allies play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive, supportive and diverse workplace for all organisations. We invite everyone to join our event toÌýcelebrate best practicesÌýand discuss how to drive employee engagement.Ìý We will be joined by representatives from 13 universities, together with local communities and staff and students from the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV, for what should be a fascinating session.â€
