Milton Keynes entrepreneur to receive honorary degree

An entrepreneur and passionate advocate of education will receive an Honorary Doctorate from the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV next week.

is the chair of (SEMLEP), one of the largest economic development partnerships. She is a well-known champion of Milton Keynes, working with businesses and charities in the area to encourage economic growth and prosperity.

A Buckinghamshire resident since 1986, Dr Limb will be recognised for her ‘outstanding contribution to the life and community of Milton Keynes’ as she becomes an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration.

Dr Limb is Chair of , the city’s official tourism service, and campaigns to promote the city.

In the , she was awarded the OBE for her public service and for services to education.

Dr Paul Sant, Associate Dean of Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Campus Milton Keynes (UCMK), said:

“We are delighted to award an honorary degree to Dr Ann Limb, who has worked so hard for the education and business community.

“After a successful first year for Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Campus Milton Keynes in 2014, we are looking forward to growing our student community and to offering even more courses. We are particularly excited at being able to offer UCMK students placements as part of their degree from 2015, and hope to work with the South East Midland Local Enterprise Partnership and the Milton Keynes business community to help us deliver the graduates they need.â€

The graduation ceremony, which will take place on Friday 31 October at 2pm at Church of Christ the Cornerstone in Milton Keynes, will celebrate the achievements of graduates from the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV’s partner colleges and institutions providing Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV accredited courses.
