Access to Learning Fund (ALF)
Terms and Conditions 2024/25
- To be eligible for the Access to Learning Fund, which is an income assessed discretionary fund, students need to be registered at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV for the new academic year.
- Applicants are expected to apply for the maximum funding from Student Finance/NHS Bursaries.
- The fund cannot help with paying for tuition fees.
- The Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV will contact students using the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV student email account, and it is the student’s responsibility to check this account regularly for important information regarding their application and payments of the fund.
- Once students have registered at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV they can apply to the fund by fully completing the Access to Learning Fund application form and providing all supporting evidence.
- All applicants to the Access to Learning Fund are required to attend/complete a Budgeting Workshop.
- Successful students must maintain an appropriate standard of behaviour and engagement throughout their course of study at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV. If a recipient does not meet the appropriate standard of behaviour and engagement the funding may be withdrawn from that individual.
- The Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV reserves the right to withhold instalments of the Access to Learning Fund if students withdraw, interrupt, not attend or otherwise do not progress satisfactorily with their studies.
- Recipients must remain in good financial standing with the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV.
- The Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV may also seek to reclaim monies paid where progress is not satisfactory
- Closing date for the Access to Learning Fund is 11th July 2025 - funds permitting.
