Investment in Science
The Â鶹´«Ã½AV continues to invest in Life Sciences teaching. £40 million has been infused into our campus with the construction of our purpose-built, four storey STEM buildingÌýwhich opened in 2019. There you will find a number of specialist laboratories including a dedicated space for histopathology and mammalian cell culture.
Our labs are located at Luton campus, near to our staff offices. Dr Maria Simon manages our laboratory facilities and with our team of dedicated technical staff ensures they are of an excellent standard.
Research and consultancy for businesses
We also have research laboratories and specialist equipment, such as a Leica TCS SP5 fluorescence confocal microscope, enabling our staff to undertake original research and consultancy work for business and industry.
