In this combined role, Ruth is responsible for academic registry, student support through the student services teams, learning resources, strategic planning and the policy team.

Ruth joins the Â鶹´«Ã½AV from Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance having spent a number of years there in a similar role and supporting the College’s acquisition of Taught Degree Awarding Powers and was previously at Anglia Ruskin Â鶹´«Ã½AV in a policy and planning role.

Ruth has a background in strategic planning and organisational improvement both in higher education and local government. During an extensive career in local government, Ruth worked in Children’s Services in both Medway Council and the London Borough of Lewisham, supporting teams in both Education and Children’s Social Care.

As a first generation into Higher Education herself, Ruth is passionate about all young people having the opportunity to access a Â鶹´«Ã½AV education and is pleased to be part of the Â鶹´«Ã½AV’s widening participation ethos.
